So far the start of this year has been a ride. Still no five-star rating, but luckily no one-star rating either. I didn’t get the start of the year off low with a two-star. Unfortunately, I started February off the same way. I did mean to get this out yesterday but I am a bit behind.
Now, I do want to specify that these are possibilities. I am a mood reader so these can change at any time.
TBR:
In the field of Grace by Tessa Afshar a retelling of Ruth and Boaz. This is based on one of my favorite books in the OT. She is also an author who is highly recommended in the Biblical Fiction community.
Thief of Corinth by Tessa Afshar- Another book by this author that was highly recommended. It’s about a girl and her father who steals from the city’s corrupt and end up making a friendship with Paul.
In Feast or Famine by Mesu Andrews- I have an ARC of this from Netgalley. I am super excited to dive into a story about the woman who marries Joseph in Egypt.
Rooted in Wonder by Eryn Lynum- This is another ARC I have. I actually have started reading this and am halfway through it.
Words with God by Addison Bevere- Another ARC from Netgalley. A better look at prayer and how to not have a boring prayer life.
The Queen Trials by Penelope Wright- The blurb says Hunger Games meets The Selection. I decided to give it a chance.
The Queen’s Gambit by Walter Tevis- I want to read the book before watching the series. I have this in audio so it will hit my one in three audiobooks that I am trying to get to in February.
Return to Me by Lynn Austin- A book set during exile in Babylonia. I have read two books already by this author and I five-starred them both. So I am really excited to read her Biblical Fiction.
Maybe more…
I have a ton of books that I am needing to read. So I may have more but I don’t want to have a high standard goal. I do know I want to at least get one audiobook finished, five ebooks finished, and five physical books finished.
What are you planning on reading this February?
