Synopsis:
Everyone wants the bad boy musician. Too bad he doesn’t date…
Hailey Danielson has it all. She’s the cheerleading captain, straight-A student, and the perfect daughter. But after a humiliating breakup, she struggles to bounce back. Instead of worrying about boys, Hailey swears off dating — she needs to figure herself out before she can get involved with anyone else.
Trey Carter is Evermore’s bad boy. He’s notorious for his absolute refusal to date anyone. The only thing he cares about is his music and getting signed to the local label. But there’s a catch: the label won’t sign him unless he can drum up a local fan base. Too bad Trey Carter pushes everyone away.
When Hailey and Trey are thrown together to do a high school English project, they strike a deal: Trey will take the project seriously so Hailey can keep her straight-A status, and in return, Hailey will use her social media influence to get Trey fans.
As they work together, Hailey can’t help but be drawn to the mysterious musician’s rough charms. And Trey? He suspects there’s more to the bubbly cheerleader than meets the eye. However, they both come from different worlds.
Can the Golden Girl and the Bad Boy make it work, or will their differences tear them apart?
Review:
Good girl meet bad boy.
Hailey has to choose a seat in English after she is late and only two are left. One next to Evermore’s bad boy or one next to her now ex-boyfriend. She of course chooses the bad boy. Due to seating arrangements Hailey is now partnered with Trey.
In order for Trey to take this seriously, she makes a deal with him that she will get him the fan base he is needing to get signed on a local record deal. At first, both don’t like each other and have certain thoughts of how each other are, but after spending some time together, they just might be way different than the other thought.
I love the dynamic of these two. Their banter was funny and they just went so good together. I really like the authors writing and how easy the books are to read.
I can’t wait to get into the next book. While these can be read as stand alones other characters from the books do make appearances.
