Seven Sons, Six Brothers, Five Miles, Four Score, Three Years, Two Roads, One Love, Zero Hour & bonus novella Alternate.
My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.
Including my innocence.
When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered by Dornan Ross and his sons when I was fifteen years old.
Before my father died, Dornan and his sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.
I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood. I’m out for revenge.
But I didn’t expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.
I didn’t expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.
Now, I’m faced with an impossible choice – Jase, or avenging my fathers death?
*Please note this series is dark romance and deals with serious themes. It is intended for an 18+ audience and contains subject matter which may distress some readers.*
Review:
What would you do for revenge?
Of course this being a complete series in one, I will be reviewing each book, so this will contain spoilers. Still reading… alright but I warned you.
Seven Sons
Rating: 3.5 stars
Confucius said, “Before embarking upon a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” I planned to dig seven.
Juliette was raped by Dorian and his six sons. Her father was killed by Dornan. Six years later she’s back for revenge.
This went much different than I thought she was going to plan out but in a good way. So far I like it can’t wait for the rest.
Six Brothers
Rating: 4 stars
“To be wronged is nothing, unless you continue to remember it.” – Confucius I would never forget. And so, for me, being wronged was everything.
Chad, the eldest, is the first to go at the end of Seven Sons. Dornan is a mess. Now Julz has to plan for the next son to die.
Julz/Sammi is a badass bitch on getting her revenge. But at the same time I’m scared someone will figure her out. I did like this one better than the first book though.
Five Miles
Rating: 4 stars
God hath given you a face, and you make yourself another. – William Shakespeare, Hamlet I don’t know if it was God who gave me my face or my mother and father, but either way, it’s gone now. Sliced away, reshaped by a man with kind eyes and skilled hands. I did it so he would desire me, so he wouldn’t know who I really was. And now I have the face of a killer.
Oh how I liked this one. The suspense is getting high. This one had a few bomb drops. Literally.
Julz/Sammi is getting in even deeper. Two sons are down. Four more she had to plot. But she soon realizes she may not be able to kill Jase.
Four Score
Rating: 3 stars
If you prick us do we not bleed? If you poison us do we not die? And if you wrong us shall we not revenge? – William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice
Four sons down! Jase now knows who Sammi really is. I think Sammi/Julz got sloppy. She is a major idiot in this one. Really pissed me off because she got careless. She is also letting hate consume her.
Three Years
Rating: 4 stars
Confucius said, “Before embarking on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.” Now I know why. And now I know, that there is something worse than death. This.
That was one emotional and mental fuck.
Is it sick that I sort of like Dornan and all of his sick ways? He’s the perfect psycho villain that I come to love. Man my brain is fucked up.
Two Roads
Rating: 2.5 stars
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
This one sucked. Plain and simply.
One Love
Rating: 3 Stars
The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies
I liked this one but I didn’t like it at the same time. Does that make sense. At least Dornan’s death wasn’t anti-climatic.
Alternate
Rating: 4 stars
We get to look into the minds of Dornan, Elliott and Jase. We find out what they did to Jase for his three years in the basement room. Holy fucked up!
Zero Hour
Rating: 3.5 stars
The ending… At first I didn’t really care. Both Juliette and Jase were annoying in the beginning of this final book. Thankfully halfway through they got the bullshit out of their system and become ultimate badasses.
The series overall was good. It started out strong. Had a few shaky points that made me question if I wanted to continue reading. Alas I made it through.
