Review:
Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.
Okay so T.M. Frazier is becoming one of those auto buy authors for me. So far every book I’ve read from her has be four stars and above. Well I love the King series with all it’s flaws and my Preppy. When I found out that Abby and Jake had their own story I was down for reading it. It took me a while to finally sit down and read. Had a very busy summer and I just haven’t been in a big reading mood till now.
We’re all a little damaged, Bee. Some of us more than others
Anydick, Fraizer went and messed with my heart again. I love Jake and Abby’s story. It was nice to finally see how they got together and made their adorable little girl that you see in King #1.
Abby and Jake’s love aren’t my favorite but they are tied with Bear and Thia. There were a few things I didn’t like about their story but it’s mostly passable. I think Abby forgave Jake a little to easily. I would have made that man grovel a bit. But these two are perfect for each other.
We were just us. Broken and bruised. Fucked up and messy. And together we were everything we never thought we could be. We didn’t need sweet and gentle. I didn’t need to be coddled. I needed Jake, and he gave himself to me just as I gave myself to him.
But besides that one little bit that pissed me off about Jake, I think he’s perfect. A man has flaws but I sure don’t mind his. I think Jake might give Preppy a run for his money. But Preppy will always be my favorite.
It’s been a very long time since I stayed up past midnight to finish a book and this baby just happened to be my first one in a long time. I forgot how utterly amazing and totally disastrous that feeling is. *sigh*
Moving on to All the Rage and then finally… Preppy’s story.
Peace out girl scout!
