Don’t get caught in the surge.

Through a bullet hole in a wall, I watch a man bleed to death. Those responsible think their crime died with the victim, until I identify them.
What’s a girl to do when she’s being hunted by murderers witness protection can’t even stop?
Run.
My only refuge is a place I vowed to never go again.
When it’s do or die, an eight-year-old heartache suddenly seems trivial.
Besides, he won’t be there anyway.
But he is.
Turns out my old pain feels brand new the second his eyes meet mine.
I can’t leave. I can’t stay.
This snowy town that’s supposed to be my shelter suddenly exposes me more than before.
With no one else to lean on, Liam becomes my lifeline.
Now we’re both running for our lives, trying not to get swept away.

Review:

Well Charlie is my favorite, Alex in close second. I loved the story. I haven’t read any books about pro snowboarders so this popped that little cherry. At times the two MCs were a little to attached to each other but I didn’t care.

I fell for these two just like I did in with the Hashtag series. I have Blizzard download but I might wait till FrostBite is out just in case of the horrid cliffhanger. Hopefully there’s not a cliffhanger but I don’t want to wait a week from now if there is. I’m waiting on enough books as it is.

Everyone who knows me knows I love small mountain towns. I am originally from Colorado so mixing the two made me love the setting of the story. I wish there was more detail on what her dad did but that might be in the next books.

Why is it the dad always involved in the bad stuff? *sigh* August 3rd hurry up. I want to get a move on with the series.

Fake Fiancee by Ilsa Madden-Mills

My edition: Kindle Unlimited
Pages:248
Stand alone
Genre: NA, College, Sports Romance
Rating: 4 stars
BR with Felicia

Synopsis:

Fake engaged to the hottest quarterback in the country? SCORE.

They say nothing compares to your first kiss,
But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience.
Our second kiss… that one was REAL.
He cradled my face like he was terrified he’d f*ck it up.
He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed.
Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs,
He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate,
And he’d never get another piece.
A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist…
And I was lost.
I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancee.
I forgot we weren’t REAL
Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those
kinds of kisses don’t exist,
Then you’ve never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history.

Three months. Two hearts. One fake engagement.

Review:

I’m finally not busy and out of a book slump. Me being a huge lover of books like this I gobbled it up in one sitting.

Max is going for the Heisman trophy and he needs to get the groupies and his ex off his back. So when he opens his door to his new next door neighbor Sunny, he comes up with the plan to pay her to be his fiancee.

What could go wrong?

These two were good together. The chemistry was brilliant. I just wish the past was a bit more developed.  Going off the synopsis I didn’t know if I was going to like this or not but I am really happy that I did read it.
