Raven’s Mark by Angel Lawson

My edition: Kindle Unlimited
Pages:115
Series: The Raven Queen’s Harem #1
Genre: Reverse Harem
Rating: 3.5 stars
BR with Felicia on Goodreads

Synopsis:

A little luck is exactly what Morgan needs in her life. When her acceptance letter from NYU arrives she thinks maybe things are about to change.

She just doesn’t realize how much.

It’s quite thrilling enough to discover that her new home is a beautiful mansion. But then she discovers her housemates.

Five wildly attractive young artists.

It’s easy to get swept up in the fairy-tale of it all, but this hose carries with it a secret… and so do the five enticing and charming men.

In time, Morgan learns the six of them must wield this knowledge-together-if they’re going to save the world.

Review:

This started off a little slow but it started to pick up. I’m not acquainted  with Celtic Mythology. I plan on researching more.

So far Morgan got accepted to NYU on a graduate program. She arrives at her living situation to find a three story house with attic. She meets her housemates, five men, who seem oddly familiar to her.

When it comes to RHs, I tend to be picky. This was a short book so I don’t know how I am liking that aspect of the book. I do like the story line.

On to the second book.

Claiming His Mountain Bride by Madison Faye

My edition: ARC provide by Author (release date 01/15/17
Standalone
Genre: Smut
Rating: 4 stars

Synopsis: (Copied from email from author)

My  mountain. My cabin. My rules. And she’s my woman-she just doesn’t know it yet.

I left civilization and my demons a long time ago, seeking solitude up on Blackthorn Mountain. Just one ex-Marine, a remote cabin, and the wilderness, with no distractions.

But then she turns up, blowing in with a winter’s blizzard like a very fucking big distraction.

Blonde, beautiful, and mouthy as all hell, even when I save her from freezing that sweet little ass off.

A rough mountain man like me should want nothing to do with a rich little city girl like Katrina. Except one look at her sweet, tempting curves, and one taste of those sassy, pouty lips, and I want everything to do with her.

I saved her from freezing, but maybe it’s her who’s going to save my frozen heart.

We’re trapped up here for the storm, locked in a cabin with only the heat between us to keep us warm. Her wealthy, city family thinks they can marry her off to some rich little shit. But they’re very wrong.

My mountain. My cabin. My woman.

I’ll make Katrina my bride, and I’ll be damned if I let them take her from me.

Review:

This was a quick smutty read. I loved it. It plays at one of my fantasies. I loved Braun and Katrina.

If you need a dirty read this is perfect.

Katrina just left her fiance and both their parents at a restaurant after she found out he was cheating on her. The thing is she doesn’t want to be with Paul. He is an arranged marriage by their parents. So she escapes to the one place no one will find her. Her Uncle Stan’s cabin.

While caught in a blizzard she finds Braun, well Braun finds her. And he doesn’t let her go.

Loved this story. Has a HEA and a full on alpha male. Going to read this again.

Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn

My edition:Kindle Unlimited
Pages:362
Series: The Binghamton Series #1
Genre: NA, Romance, College
Rating: 4 stars

Synopsis:

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They’re both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends- I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd- but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I’d make my coworker fall for me.

I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was on drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

Review:

Many have recommended me Quinn many times. So I finally decided let’s do it. I picked this up and away I went.

But first let me point out that I don’t like the two MCs are Yankee fans. Goes against everything in my nature. Moving on.

At first I didn’t like either MCs. Not just because of the Yankee fans but because both started out shallow. After the first couple chapters of Andrew he started to get under my skin. He made me laugh so much and his passion for baseball. Swooning and drooling over here.

Are you insane? Baseball isn’t about home runs. Maybe for the guys who mask their flaws behind a bat. True baseball, the good kind of baseball. is played with intelligence, with well-thought -out moves. It’s like an equation: you have to put all the pieces together to get the perfect solution, a win. You can’t just stock your roster with home-run hitters and believe you’re going to win every game.Every player is essential in their own way from the catchers, to the fast left-handers, to the big  home-run hitters. Without every piece to the puzzle, you’ll never go anywhere.

See passion.

For the record, I’m one hundred percent Gryffindor, but if I had to be sorted into another house, I would want to go to Hufflepuff just so I could say the word Hufflepuff.

He cracks me up and makes a Harry Potter reference. Yeah he made it high on the boyfriend list. Even knocked a few down a peg that have been unmovable.

Well, Fuck if I don’t want to jump up and down, waving my cock around in excitement while shooting poppers into the air just for the hell of it, but I hold still. Excessive celebration could put me in the hot bed once again.

Can we make him real just so I can see this, please?

Now Sadie, girl I did not like her. By the end I tolerated her. It took her the whole book to finally *pop!* her head out of her ass. Seriously she wore that thing like it was a hat and knew it but did nothing to change it.

Go ahead, start throwing the pitchforks, tell me I’m the worst; curse me out for not being strong enough to let go of the man who both consumed me and broke me for so many years. It’s okay to hate me, because I hate me too. Maybe we should start an I hate Sadie Facebook group. Anyone want to be admin?

Oh grow the fuck up will ya?

She did have her funny moments with Andrew but I just hated reading her P.O.V. At the end of the book I still don’t think she deserved a HEA. I mean hello she is the reason this book didn’t get a full five star rating. Shit she didn’t even deserve Tucker.

Andrew got two and a half of those stars. I really loved Andrew. He was funny and sexy as hell. Why can’t he be real?

Moving on to Tucker and Emma’s story.
