What happens when you get yourself stuck in the middle of a war?
This is a reverse harme book series. 17+ readers only.

Review:

The blue-sided human will choose a side. When four princes are born on the same day, they will rule true. Her savior will die when the choice is made. If she chooses wrong, she will fall. If she chooses right, then she will rule. Only her mates can stop her from the destruction of all. If the fates allow, no one need fall. For only the true kings hold her fate, and they will be her mates.

Winter’s best friend decides to set her up on a date with her boyfriend’s best friend. Winter goes to the party to meet Wyatt who turns out to act strange and demanding. Leaving the party she goes home to spot an injured wolf in the parking lot. Since she is going to school as a vet she helps the wolf who turns out to be an eight year old shifter named Freddy. Since saving him meant she now has the pack’s protection. More importantly Jaxon’s protection.

I liked the idea of the prophecy. The story was good. A little instalove but I can look past that. I do wish when she found out about supernaturals she freaked out a little. She seemed a little too okay with it.

Plan on reading the second book soon.

Incubus by Celia Aaron

My edition: Kindle Unlimited
Pages: 367
Stand-alone
Genre: Fantasy
Rating: 5 stars
Buddy Read with Felicia on Goodreads

Synopsis:

An incubus who feeds off the sexual desires of others, Roth de Lis has never been denied the pleasure of a woman’s body… until now. Lilah, once a warrior maiden in the service of a goddess, languishes on earth after being cast out from the slopes of Mount Olympus.
Lilah will do anything to return home, including betraying Roth. As she spins her web of lies, Roth begins a slow, wicked seduction that eventually threatens to consume them both. But when Lilah’s deceit comes to light, will their torrid love affair be able to overcome a pact with the darkest of gods?

Review:

Oh boy. I don’t even know where to start.

I love Celia Aaron’s writing. I was introduced to it by Blackwood. I have had this on my TBR list when I first saw it coming out. I finally got it and I am blown away.

Her world building of the Greek Gods and Goddesses was amazing. I love it. I also have a huge lady boner crush on Apollo. I did have one going for Ares but then he showed his ass and that stopped my lady bits from tingling for him.

Lilah once fell in love but only to feel first love betrayal sting. No longer a maiden of Artemis due to her transgression, she will do anything to get back on the Goddess’s good graces. Even if that means pursuing Roth de Lis and the bounty on his head.

Roth and Lilah is a slow build with much sexual tension. I loved it!!! I don’t think there was one thing I hated about this book. I mean Corrine and Artemis are both bitches who um…

alexakenin_falloff.gif

Other than that I was in love.

Roth may have been an incubus but he can have my heart any day of the week. Unless Apollo beats him to it.

Even though I started this on Saturday I only got to chapter 7 before I became busy with Wy’s birthday get together. Sunday I had time to myself but my brain thought it would be a good time to sleep. So I didn’t get to pick this up till around bedtime which then I had to force myself to put it down and get some more sleep. That I think was around 1:30 in the morning. Finally finishing it today and I am utterly speechless. I expected to like the story but not as much as I did.

Now… what the hell am I suppose to read now?

The riveting tale of When Beauty met the Beast will grip you and captivate you right from the start…

Review:

Do you like soap operas? Something along the lines of Young and the Restless or Days of Our Lives. If so you will like this book… maybe.

For me this book seemed like a hassle to get through. It wasn’t my cup of tea. So drama llama.

This book doesn’t just focus on the h or H, instead it follows multiply people. List of P.O.V.s are Chloe, Wade, Regina, Taylor, and the Observer. Regina is Benjamin Vanderville’s wife. Wade and Taylor their children, while Chloe is Taylor’s best friend and Wade’s love interest. There is only one chapter of the Observer and it could be a gazillion different people. That is the one thing I like about this story. I have no clue who is wanting to destroy the Vandervilles. There are too many suspects.

Chloe and Wade’s relationship made me want to scream. Chloe is wrapped up in Wade and Wade is obsessed with Chloe. Blah. There wasn’t much substance.

Now I will read the second book due to the fact this book ended with a cliffhanger that I want to find out what happens. What can I say, it’s that juicy kind of drama. But I have some other books that I must read before I can get to the second book. Putting this series on hold till further notice.

Six broken people on the mend.
One happily ever after.

Review:

Well at first I was going to give this the same rating as the first two books, but then I really thought about it and it just didn’t seem right.

This book started off good. It just seemed after we met Paxton’s parents that the book felt rushed. Everything afterward was just blah. I really didn’t care anymore. I just wanted to be done with the series. Nothing was keeping me hooked. I auto piloted through most of the book. Even the smut had taken a back burner after the meeting of parents in England.

I’m pretty glad it ended. I wasn’t a fan of the ending but nevertheless it’s over and I can move on.

Roadie by C.M. Stunich

My edition: Kindle Unlimited
Pages:358
Series: Rock-Hard Beautiful #2
Genre: NA, Reverse Harem
Rating: 3.5 stars

Synopsis:

Lilth and her five rockstars are back.
Paxton is the leader, covered in tattoos, and cocky as hell.
Michael is bad boy determined to change his ways.
Ransom is the scarred one, dark and beautiful.
Muse is the practical one, the enigma with a sliver mohawk.
Copeland is the boy next door with a penchant for reading romance novels.

Together these six twisted souls make up one beautiful whole.

Review:

I liked this one better than the first book. There was more in depth with the characters. We slowly started seeing into their past. They opened up to Lilith.

If you are looking for smut and cute boys this is it. Out of all the books this one has to be the most in depth but it is still not one I do plan to reread.

This series while the smut is good and it’s a decent break from reality, it just doesn’t seem to have a big plot line.

Sorry if my review sucks but I just got done being sick. I have a headache and I read all three books about two days ago so conjuring up the power to write a review is hard.

Groupie by C.M. Stunich

My edition: Kindle Unlimited
Pages:394
Series: Rock Hard Beautiful #1
Genre: NA, Reverse Harem
Rating: 3.5 stars

Synopsis:

Warning: This book has one girl and five bad boy rockstars. she owns them all–heart, body and soul. Don’t read it unless you like to ugly cry… and also unless you like threesomes, foursomes… and moresomes.

“Can one of these rockstars fill the hole in my heart?Or will I stay broken forever?”

Young dumb and broke.

Than’s what started everything. With five dollars in her pocket and everything she owns stuffed in the back of her car, Lilith Goode’s life is over. Done. Destroyed.

Ten words. One text. That’s what it took to change the whole world.

A crumpled concert tiket. A chance encounter. That’s what it takes to start all over again.

Five rockstars. One girl. Six dark hearts, six withered souls. But can one broken person really put another back together again? and is a cross-country tour the place to do it?

Review:

Lilith has gotten a text from her stepmother that her father has passed away. She gets the text right as she is about to drive up to New York from Arizona with everything she owns. At a gas station she notices concert tickets she has from her ex. She decides to go and sell them at the venue.

While doing this she runs into a good looking guy in a suit who hands her a back stage pass. She takes it and is then led backstage where a few people tell her “You found Paxton.” Only she doesn’t know who Paxton is. He is the lead singer to Beauty in Lies. She ends up following him on to his tour bus which leads to her staying through the tour.

The first half of this book was okay. The second half picked up. I wasn’t a total fan of Lilith but I did like all the boys. At first I didn’t like Paxton but he grew on me. I wish the heroine didn’t move as fast as she did with the guys but it is what it is.

Seduction by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington

My edition: Kindle Unlimited
Pages: 267
Series: Curse of the Gods #3
Genre: Fantasy, Reverse harem
Rating: 5 stars

Synopsis:

Willa Knight: Dweller? Sol? Accidental evolutionary hiccup?

Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules- but none of that matters anymore.
The rules are changing.
The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans.
Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out-until she doesn’t. and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos. With the Abcurses gone, she’ll have to rely on her wits, and her sister Emmy, to stay under the radar and survive.
Because someone wants her dead.

But, really, what else is new?

Review:

Oh how I miss Willa.

She is probably hands down the funniest heroine I have ever read about.

I didn’t want this book to end. I can’t wait for the next book to be out. I have two more books in the series and I can’t wait while at the same time waiting for them to come out. I seriously love this series.

The world building is amazing still. Got to see another side of Topia. Got to see what Willa is like without the Abcurses since the first book. She’s clumsier. A whole lot clumsier.

I didn’t highlight many quotes in this book due to the fact of my just gobbing it up without highlighting.

What am I going to do now that I’m finished with this one?

Here’s to waiting on another book.

This is the best one of them all but the ending. Stupid Cliffhangers.

Morgan has to make a plan to save the three guards that were taken from her and figure out how to confront her guard that betrayed her. With only Dylan to rely on she is slowly losing hope and her mind.

Excuse me while I go into my designated corner and sulk till February.

Refusing to choose one mate, she’s taken five, learning to balance their needs and her obligations proves difficult. What role does Morgan play now that she’s not a puppet of the Morrigan and what other dangers are out there?

Review:

For most of the book I was bored. Finally about 80% or so did it finally get exciting.

While being exciting there is a plot twist that made me mad as hell. How dare the book end that way.

Starting the fifth book knowing that it is also short and the sixth book doesn’t come out till February. UGH!! I have a feeling this series will frustrate me even further.

Unwilling to allow the Darkness to take another life or dominate her own, Morgan and her Guardians must find a way to stop history from repeating itself. When Morgan finds an ancient spell that may do the trick will the Guardians assist her? And if they do how much risk are they willing to take?

Review:

I liked the smut in this but at the same time it wasn’t my favorite of the three books I have read so far.

There were a few mistakes that made me reread to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I am also liking certain men over others. More of the battle is being laid out but the ending has me confused.

I’m on the fence if I like where this is going.
