Review: So I thought this was going to be another angel falls in love with human, human falls in love back, but no, it did not turn out that way. It was a little bit better than that.

I’ve seen mixed reviews on this book. Some people loved it others didn’t. I did like it. I liked Karou even though a few times I wish she didn’t do certain things but I do like her. I liked that the romance really didn’t happen till after 50% well it wasn’t really romance but a start of a ship sort of. Hard to say without ruining the story. I liked how both Akiva and Karou didn’t really know what to make of each other after the first time they see each other. Akiva’s dry humor was funny.

Thankfully this isn’t a first sight true love story. Their first sight of each other was Karou running from Akiva then fighting him. Yes actually fighting. This story had a different take on Angels and Chimera. I loved the flow. It did start out a little slow but then the story did pick up. I was hooked. I loved the mystery of Karou. She doesn’t know where she is from. All she knows is that she has been raised by Brimstone in his shop full of teeth. I’ll read the second one.

By the way have you ever heard of an unessential penis? No. Well Brimstone explains what one is in this. Let’s just say there is a lot of unessential penis out there.
