Review: Hmmm guess which retelling this is. Bet you’ll never guess it.
I don’t know if this is my favorite of them so far. It was a good retelling but Gemma wasn’t my favorite and Stil was a little lack luster for me. I found at times that Gemma was quite annoying. She continuously kept saying that mages can only like/ love other mages. It was very annoying. She kept rejecting Stil because he was a crafts mage and she was a seamstress. Woman, no one can control who they love. Stil did become some what of panty dropper at the end.
As for Angelique, she showed up in this one again. Here she comes to save the day!! And she is FABULOUS!!! Now on to the next book which is The Little Mermaid retelling.
