My Book Boyfriend List

I am finally making this list. I have been wanting to make it since I have started this blog last year. I am only going to do my top 10 book boyfriends because I have a really long list.

10. Aiden Graves

Story: The Wall of Winnipeg and Me

Why: His brooding nature may fool some people but really he is just the silent type. Aiden only focuses on football and working out. He has a strong work ethic and has everything scheduled and planned out to the way he wants. Only problem with him is he doesn’t eat meat and if I remember correctly it said he was vegan. In my house you will starve if vegan.

9. Mason Kade

Story: Fallen Crest High series

Why: Mason Kade is an asshole to anyone who is not his friends or his family. No matter what he protects Sam with everything he has. Even when Sam sometimes doubt he is reminds her that it’s her for him.

8. Nathaniel Kelly

Story: Forever Red

Why: Tattoos, singer, bad boy. That and he is just drool worthy. Even when the love of his life broke his heart he wrote songs about her. He looked for her every where and really didn’t stop looking.

7. Colt Mitchell

Story: Letting Go

Why: He went against his family to be with Savanna. He knew it wasn’t Savanna’a fault for his cousin’s bad mistakes.

6. Gunner Mathews

Story: Wanted

Why: He had to deal with Elle. Kind of joking there. He just had to deal with her drama and trust issues even though he never broken or given a reason for Elle not to trust him.

5. Chris

Story: Coach

Why: This man is on here for his smut factor. He is the highest on my list for smut boyfriends. Also I can’t resist an alpha male.

4. Kota, Nathan, Gabriel, Victor, Owen, Sean, Silas, North, Luke

Story: Ghost Bird series

Why: These are my boys of my taboo read. It’s hard to explain why I love all of them the same way but I do. I can’t choose between them.

3. Garrett Graham

Story: The Deal

Why: At first I didn’t know what to think of Graham but as the story went on he became my hockey Romeo. (See No. 1) He was patient for Hannah. He didn’t want to rush her and even when she broke his heart he still went to her concert to support her.

2. Brody Murphy

Story: Cranberry Inn series

Why: I know what your thinking. How did this guy out beat No. 3 if No. 3 is like No.1 well he does. Brody fell in love with a woman, Kacie. Here’s the thing. Kacie has twin daughters. Brody didn’t mind that she had kids. He still wanted her. He respected her being a mother and when she wanted to tell them that they were dating. When Kacie’s ex comes back wanting to be in the girls lives and says he is their father, Brody doesn’t let it fly and beats him up. Brody stands by Kacie and their girls. That is why he beat out No. 3

1. Romeo “The Bullet” Prince aka Rome

Story: Sweet Home and Sweet Rome

Why: Rome stole my heart from day one. I have reread his books twice now. His alpha male is what got me. Also his love for Molly shows what kind of man he is. No matter what no one has beaten him out of the running. Some have come close but just couldn’t make it all the way.

Review: Texas… What comes to your mind when you hear Texas? Me, I think of the Lone Star state, Chris Kyle, the Alamo, guns, cute guys, oh and FOOTBALL.

Football is one of my favorite sports. My top NFL team is the Houston Texans followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints. Texas Longhorns come up on #7 on my college teams. When I saw this book on NetGalley I thought yeah I need it. Hello Texas football is amazing (if you don’t count the cowboys. Yeah not a big fan of the Cowboys. They are almost to the bottom of my list right above the Broncos.)

Even when baseball was America’s pastime, football was Texas’s pastime.

The author, Engel, was to cover as much ground as he can with three levels of football, high school, college, and the pros. He was to do this in four days.

There are pictures included in the book. Some of my pictures didn’t show in my kindle form. I don’t know why half of them showed and the other half didn’t. What I did see were done wonderfully. I liked them. It was refreshing to see. The pictures with the Astrodome are a few of my favorites right next to J.J. Watt’s plush toys.

Engel covers a lot of ground. Not only football games but the stadiums and the fans. He starts off with one of the most famous buildings in Texas. Settled in Houston is the Astrodome. If you don’t know the Astrodome it is the home of the Houston Oilers. It has housed everyone from George Strait to Muhammad Ali. Ask any adult in Houston that has grown up there or near it and the Astrodome is, as said in the book ,childhood. I believe this to be true.

I love that Engel covered these wide topics. It shows not only what it’s like on a daily basis but what football has changed into and how it shapes everything around it. If you are a football fan I would recommend this book. Even if you aren’t any kind of Texas fan I would still recommend it.

My Top 10 Heroines

10. Aurora Lahey

Story: Divinicus Nex series

Why: She is witty, funny and above all a badass. Most of the time she is winging it but hey she is still living and kicking. She is one of my few YA heroines that I can stand.

9. Daenerys Targaryen

Story: A Song of Ice and Fire series

Why: The mother of dragons. That is cool enough. Well Dany also becomes a badass mamma.

8. Haley MacKnight

Story: His Agenda trilogy

Why:She was in an abusive relationship. Instead of being a victim she turned into a survivor. She got away from her husband and rebuilt herself. She is a strong woman that many can look up to even for a fictional character.

7. Jordan Woods

Story: Cathcing Jordan

Why: This is one of my light heroines. Jordan is quarterback for her high school football team. She just wants to play football but some people just don’t believe that she will be able to perform or take a hit at a collegiate level. But she is determined to prove them wrong.

6. Minerva McGonagall

Story: Harry Potter series

Why: She was a grandmother to us all. Not only that but you don’t want to get on her bad side. Plus when she told Dolores Umbridge off who didn’t fall in love with her.

5. Arya Stark

Story: A Song of Ice and Fire

Why: Don’t be fooled by her child like looks she can be dangerous. She fights for what she believes in and she won’t go down easy.

4. Ginny Weasley

Story: Harry Potter series

Why: Even when her heart was breaking from Harry’s break up, she started up DA again. She fought to get the sword of Gryffindor and is one of the strongest spell casters. Watch out for her bat boogie hex.

3. Skeeter Phelan

Story: The Help

Why:Even though it was looked down upon she still went and got the maids stories. With her life and the maids lives on the line they had to meet in secret. She got her story and she published it. She believed that the maids had to have their voices heard.

2. Katniss Everdeen

Story: Hunger Game series

Why: She volentured as tribute in her sister’s stead. She fought with everything she had. She beat the capitol at their own game. Even though there were times she was breaking she still stood up strong to face President Snow.

1. Hermione Granger

Story: Harry Potter series

Why: Hermione is the third Harry Potter heroine to appear on this list but she is also the highest on the list. She too had her heart broken by her true love but she still went with Harry to find the rest of the horcruxes. She also had to face discrimination from some pure bloods. No matter what she is the smartest witch of her age.
