Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

My edition: Kindle

Pages: 283

Series: Hundred Oaks

Rating: 4.5

Review: Okay another heroine who knows her sports. Well she sort of has to because she is captain and QB for her high school football team. Jordan Woods is just one of the guys.

That is until she sees Tyler Green, Ty for short. Jordan has never really focused on guys before. Now with Ty around she is starting to notice him real well.

How can you be in love with someone for forever and not be willing to take a chance when it finally hits you in the face like a linebacker?

One big problem for Jordan, Henry. Sam Henry has been Jordan’s best friend since pop warner. Henry is in love with Jordan. Yeah it has a triangle. It’s the only big problem I have with this book.

That day, I traded my pompoms in for cleats. And Henry became a wide reciever. And part of my heart became his.

I really liked this. I’m surprised. I normally don’t like much of YA romances but this one I liked. Mostly because We talked football. Actual football not when authors make it seem like we are at them game and not really watching.

When unrequited love is the most expensive thing on the menu, sometimes you settle for the daily special.

I understand the hardship of what Jordan goes through. Being a girl and wanting and being in sports that only men are known to play and not being taken seriously, It’s hard. Even if you can prove yourself, guys won’t take you seriously.

I love this. I recommend to all girls/women who are like me and love sports. Love talking about sports and being in sports. The only bad thing I can say about this is that the stupid love triangle needed to stay out!!

Beautiful Broken Rules by Kimberly Lauren

My edition: Kindle

Series: Broken #1

Review: I’m still trying to figure out what to really say. I finished this last night before I went to bed and I am still mauling over what to say about this.

Well one thing to say is Jaxon’s name should have been Jack-ass. Seriously he did something that was incredible stupid and totally unnecessary. That little stint made this go straddle the line of okay and OTT.

Now Emerson, sweetie I totally understand you don’t want a relationship and just want to have fun with guys. I understand. Go on with you bad self. Nothing wrong with a girl taking care of her needs but sweetheart when it comes to shutting everyone out due to your parents… Well that just plain stupid. Jumped to a conclusion that wasn’t true in the slightest way.

If you don’t want an OTT read, this could be it but it does borderline OTT. Heck maybe to some people it is but to me it was just borderline.
